1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Detego Health Provider Portal (“Portal”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Portal. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Detego Health (“we,” “us,” or “our”).
2. Authorized Use
The Portal is intended solely for use by healthcare providers and their authorized representatives for the purpose of:
- Checking the status of claims submitted to Detego Health.
- Verifying member eligibility and coverage information.
- Downloading Explanation of Payment (EOP) documents.
- Interacting with DANA, our AI-powered coverage assistant.
You may not use the Portal for any purpose not expressly authorized by these Terms or by Detego Health.
3. Account Registration and Security
- You must provide accurate and complete information during registration.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You must notify Detego Health immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
- You may not share your login credentials with any other person.
- Detego Health may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Confidentiality and PHI
Information accessed through the Portal may include Protected Health Information (PHI) as defined by HIPAA. You agree to:
- Access only the information you are authorized to view.
- Use PHI solely for treatment, payment, or healthcare operations purposes as permitted by HIPAA.
- Not download, copy, or share member information except as necessary for authorized purposes.
- Comply with all applicable federal and state privacy and security laws.
5. DANA AI Coverage Assistant
The Portal includes DANA, an AI-powered tool that provides coverage information based on a member’s health plan. You acknowledge and agree that:
- DANA responses are for informational purposes only and do not constitute a guarantee of payment or coverage.
- Coverage determinations are subject to the terms of the member’s plan.
- DANA may not have access to all plan details or recent amendments.
- You should verify critical coverage information through official channels when in doubt.
6. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Portal or its underlying systems.
- Use automated tools, scripts, or bots to access or interact with the Portal.
- Submit false or misleading information during registration or use.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Portal’s operation or security.
- Use the Portal to access information about members you are not authorized to view.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Portal is provided “as is” and “as available.” Detego Health makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the Portal’s availability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose. While we strive for accuracy, claim status and eligibility information displayed in the Portal may be subject to processing delays.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Detego Health shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Portal, including but not limited to reliance on information provided by DANA or claim status displays.
9. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via the Portal or by email. Your continued use of the Portal following any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state in which Detego Health is incorporated, without regard to conflict of law principles.
